Worship is the heart-like hub around
which life in the kingdom is built. Worship means "Worthship"
in Old English -- to "blow down, honor, and pay homage to a
king" in the Old Testament -- and is often translated from a verb
form of service in the New Testament (Matt. 4:10). So "to
worship" and "to serve" are closely tied together.

To worship is to quicken the conscience by
the holiness of God, to feed the mind with the truth of God, to purge
the imagination by the beauty of God, to open the heart of the love of
God, to devote the will to the purpose of God. (The late Archbishop of
Canterbury)
